    Dear Louise Bourgeois,
I have been following your work for some time now, about twenty years. When I came to work in NYC knowing that you live and work here, I felt lucky and very honored. Each day when I enter in the subway I find that many people are excited just at the prospect of going to work. At the same time I truly believe that the uniqueness of this place is first and foremost its art and culture. Among other artists, your work has propelled my creative development and assisted me in materializing my dreams. I remember seeing your exhibition for the first time at the Guggenheim Museum two years ago. One of my favorites is Red Room. As I was standing there looking into the room, I felt attached to the media and the message. All the details and the atmosphere of the piece recalled forbidden aspects of my personal experience, screams and violence “fait pas ci fait pas ca”, “n’ecoute pas a la porte”; this installation triggered intimate anxieties and fears within me and I found it to be truly moving and beautiful. Thank you.
