Hope. Oil on canvas, Alain Vo-Haueur work.

Born in Saigon and raised in Paris, Alain now lives in what Le Corbusier calls the “vertical city with unimaginable diamonds and vehement silhouettes”, New York. Having worked for top designers like Gianni Versace, Christian Louboutin, Olga Berluti and Allegra Hicks, all the while meditating on the moment of aesthetic perfection when “les beaux esprits se rencontrent”, Alain brings the fantasy world to life with persistent, determined and diligent creativity. Having been a part of the success of fellow creatives and profoundly effected by the beauty of their process has invigorated him and he seeks now to process and investigate his interior aesthetic drives. Also, Alain has studied Interior Design at Parsons School, Painting at the School of Visual Arts and creative writing with Julia Cameron in her workshop called “The Artist’s Way”. Thanks to word of mouth recommendations from friends and clients, Alain has been able to actively create representations of his inner voice by decorating private New York residences most recently a Richard Meier erection on the West Side Highway. Alain’s ardor for life is relentless as is his attachment to beauty, he only finds life interesting in discovery; a favorite mode of discovery is reading books. Jean Genet, Thomas Mann, William Faulkner, Toni Morrison, Franz Kafka, Albert Cohen, Leo Tolstoy and so many others have marked Alain indelibly and intimately, stirring up the emotionality of his free thought. Alain lives a life affected by Chinese and Indian spiritual influences, Iyengar Yoga, Transcendental Meditation, non-violence, peace of mind and David Lynch films. With a soul recently flooded with joy, Alain is writing a book, a set of ups and downs earthed and uncovered from Saigon to Paris and now, the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. Alain is in the city of art and culture as Louise Bourgeois…and he’d love to meet her. This platform is a place to share with friends, “les retrouvailles”.
